Viewing Order
1.) The first movie. DUH.
2.) The Animatrix: Vision 2 — The Second Renaissance Pt. I
3.) The Animatrix: Vision 3 — The Second Renaissance Pt. II
4.) The Animatrix: Vision 4 — Kid’s Story
5.) The Animatrix: Vision 1 — Final Flight Of The Osiris
6.) Reloaded
7.) Revolutions
8.) The Enter The Matrix Cutscenes — https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KQgiRGDUh9I
These take place during Reloaded, but unless you edit them into it, yourself, you’re going to have to watch them between either the first movie and Reloaded, or between Reloaded and Revolutions. On subsequent viewings. I.e., DO NOT WATCH THEM UNTIL AFTER YOUR FIRST VIEWING OF THE TRILOGY. Because of some specifics, they feel like they take place both during Reloaded and Revolutions. I watch them before Reloaded, because Reloaded flows right into Revolutions, and it doesn’t feel right for anything to take place between those two films.
Ultimately, there just isn’t any clean way to do it.
The rest of the Animatrix visions can be viewed at your leisure. If you even want to watch them. Why anime is part of a tokusatsu endeavor is beyond me.
